Recopilaciones y adaptaciones de ARISTÓBULO DOMÍNGUEZ

Las primera adaptaciones para Piano de melodías del acervo nativo del Paraguay fueron recopiladas y arregladas por ARISTÓBULO DOMÍNGUEZ y su colaborador GERARDO FERNÁNDEZ MORENO, en un álbum de partituras cuya última edición fue publicada en el año 1.928. Hasta ese entonces estas piezas eran difundidas principalmente por arpistas y guitarristas populares que lograron, generación tras generación, transmitir un sentir colectivo a través de la ejecución e interpretación de las mismas.  La mayoría de los Aires Tradicionales son de autores anónimos y muchos fueron registrados posteriormente por conocidos músicos quienes incluyeron texto a la melodía ya existente.
